Shame the movie was such a massive pile of poop. It was supposed to save the mecha genre from the transformers movies, not join them.
It did fix some problems the first film had and implemented ideas del Toro mentioned in interviews. Unfortunately, it's plagued with new problems that ruin the whole movie for me.
