Conversely, Sazanami routinely accuses Admiral of constantly cheating on her, and that's exactly what he's doing in those side-doujins. It's entirely possible the author himself is probably writing these as a sort of multiple-choice backstory, where the freely available "Lightly Lewd" is the framing narrative that is definitely real, and then the ero books are maybe-real stories that are behind a paywall. The reason to do this is because if you tell a story where half the story is behind a paywall, you do create an incentive to get people to buy your books, but it also means anyone who doesn't can't really follow you r story, and you wind up having to either create stories where subsequent events basically spoil the plot twists in the pay stories, removing all mystery, or they're a bunch of unimportant junk that don't affect anything, removing all the reason to bother paying for them.
