The issue I have with this line of thought: bad_tumblr_id Four thousand posts (and counting) where the Tumblr source has disappeared, with no way to see it again (through original links).
And Tumblr sites are notorious for disappearing without warning.
Danbooru, as a repository, has a value in keeping art alive. Not that I find this one too terrible myself, but there's a reason Danbooru has a quality standard. We're not here to be the Wayback Machine and upload the entire Internet for archival, we're supposed to be only archiving the good stuff, and the whole reason people flag something is because they think it's not very good, and hence not worth archiving. There's also the visibility problem. The more you archive, the harder it is to find anything, so the more that quality standards start to matter, since the whole reason people don't want to just hit random images on Pixiv or DeviantArt is that they're going to have to spend an hour or so finding an artist that isn't doing "my first doodle" level quality. |  | If new feed item from https://danbooru.donmai.us/comments.atom, then send me an email at funncymarioo@gmail.com |  |  |
