It's not in a good location. I got a kitty tower that my cats use every day... because it's positioned directly in front of the window that gets the full morning sun. Also, cats will always play with a new box just because it smells nice, but will get tired of it quickly. Well... most do, but one of my current cats loves nothing more than "nesting" by shredding cardboard boxes, then sitting on the shreds....
